We are deeply saddened by the devastation our neighbors to the west are facing in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. The impact has been overwhelming, and our hearts go out to everyone affected. We are committed to supporting the recovery efforts in any way we can.
As a first step, we’ve ordered a box truck full of essential relief supplies from our hardware supplier, including bottled water, Gatorade, tarps, poly sheeting, flashlights, batteries, gloves, contractor trash bags, duct tape, hand sanitizer, Clorox wipes, and pre-mixed fuel. We will be delivering these supplies to emergency response personnel early next week.
Western NC faces a long road to recovery, and many of you may be looking for ways to contribute further. All Talbert Building Supply branches are now serving as drop-off locations for donations. Our trucks will deliver these items as needed in the coming weeks to assist in the ongoing relief efforts.
Effective November 12, 2024, we are pausing our donation collection efforts, as drop off centers have a sufficient quantity of donated items. We deeply appreciate everyone’s generosity and dedication to helping rebuild Western North Carolina.
All donations are welcome; below are some ideas:
- Hygiene Products: Soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, hand sanitizer
- Diapers: Both children and adult sizes
- Baby Care: Baby formula, baby wipes
- Paper Goods & Utensils: Toilet tissue, paper towels, paper plates, plastic utensils
